Indiana Tax Attorney
The Indianapolis Bar Association (IBA), backed by the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, set up a professionalism initiative in 2002 to endorse the images of positive lawyers in the society and get rid of client doubt and discontent. This professional initiative won the ABA 2007 E. Smythe Gambrell Professionalism Award. Some of the key initiatives by the Indianapolis Bar Association involve :
Corporate Income Tax
- The Tenets of Professional Courtesy disseminated to lawyers and exhibited in legal offices and courtrooms. This acts as a point of reference for professional performance in the legal community.
- The Bar Leader Series is a program which is involved in development of leadership and professional skills for young tax attorneys in their initial stages of practice.
- The Applied Professionalism Course for new attorneys which is a program developed for attorneys in their initial three years of practice.
- A full-day program named the "Surviving and Thriving in the Practice of Law," developed for the third-year law students.
- Judicial Criticism Response helping in building awareness among the public and helps in cases when there is problem with the judges.
- Lawyer Criticism Response which informs the public on situations when an attorney has been unjustly condemned within the media;
- A Professionalism Award instituted in 2004 to honor excellence in the Indianapolis Bar Association.
- Lawyers Care Project helping members of the Indiana National Guard serving in the Middle East.
This initiative is unique for the area of Indianapolis and works with the goal of reducing barriers which might restrict some tax attorneys from offering high level service in the field of taxation, prevent people from getting quality legal counsel and build distance between attorney-client associations.
Considering the initiatives, the taxation process in Indianapolis has turned over a new leaf and there are more capable tax attorneys serving the people of the area. Some of the established tax attorneys in the area are Brian L. Baker, Karen L. Arland, Kevin M. Alerding and Thomas M. Atherton. An Indianapolis tax attorney can assist the taxpayer in understanding tax requirements for a company, or help during an audit. They can assist in discussing on how much is owed to the IRS and will represent the client in court. If a taxpayer is in trouble with the IRS, an Indianapolis tax attorney can analyze and clarify the problem. |
